Completing an assignment
After you have been given an assignment or claimed one, you work on the assignment until it's completed.
A project coordinator, administrator, or user with special permissions can take the following actions while an assignment is in progress:
If one of these actions is taken, you immediately receive a notification. Make sure you Set notification preferences for projects.


To complete an assignment:
- Accept the work by doing one of the following:
- If you were notified that you have a new assignment, Start an assignment.
- If you received a notification that an assignment is ready to be claimed, Claim an assignment.
- Open the project, and complete the work as described in the project.
To see assignment details, View assignment status. - Change the state of your assignment from In Progress to Completed-Accepted or Completed-Rejected in any of the following ways:
If an assignment is part of a workflow:- When the assignment is completed, the workflow can be configured to ask the user to select how the workflow should advance.
- For example, if the user selects Accept, you can configure the workflow to advance to the next step that should occur if the content is ready to move forward to the next stage, such as approval, publishing, or translation.
- For example, if the user selects Reject, you can configure the workflow to return to a step where the content can be revised, republished, or retranslated.

- When the assignment is completed, the workflow can be configured to ask the user to select how the workflow should advance.
