Remove participants from a project

You can remove a user from the list of team members for a project. Removing a user doesn't remove their Inspire account or subscription. Before you can remove a participant from a project you must first remove them from any tasks they are assigned to in the project.

You can't remove a participant from an active project if they are:

To remove participants from a project:

  1. Click Projects_TopMenuOpt Projects.
  2. On the Project Management tab, double-click to open the project that you want to update.
    You can also open a project by:
    • Right-clicking the project and then selecting Open.
    • Clicking Action_Menu the Options menu and then selecting Open.
  3. Next to the user you want to remove, click the remove icon remove_icon.

  4. On the Remove Participant screen, click Yes.

    Results:

    • You will see an error if you tried to:

      • Remove a participant from a project if the user is an Approver, Reviewer or Coordinator in an active Review workflow associated with that project.

      • Remove a participant from a project if the user is a Reviewer or Coordinator in an active Topic workflow associated with that project.
      • Remove a participant from a project if the user is has been given an Assignment associated with that project.

    • If the user was successfully removed, they are no longer listed in the Participants panel.
