Delete or hide a custom framework

After you create a customized framework, you can hide it by clearing the Active option. When Inspire looks for frameworks to use when validating a component in the Oxygen editor, only those marked as Active are loaded. If you know you will never use a custom framework again, you can permanently delete it.

Note:

You must have administrator permissions in Inspire to complete this task.

To hide a custom framework:

  1. From the Administration_TopMenuOpt Administration menu, select Advanced settings, and then select Component framework management.
  2. On the Component framework management tab, find the framework you want to update, select the row, and then click Update .
  3. On the Update Component Framework screen, clear the Active option.
The Active option is useful if you want to test frameworks. For example, you can upload two schemas and switch back and forth between them.
  4. On the Update Component Framework screen, click Update.
You see the Component framework management tab and the details about your updated framework. Look in the Active column. The value is set to No.

To delete a custom framework:

Use caution when deleting a custom framework as you can't undo the action. Framework files are not sent to the Deleted Items folder, they are permanently deleted.

  1. From the Administration_TopMenuOpt Administration menu, select Advanced settings, and then select Component framework management.
  2. On the Component framework management tab, find the framework you want to delete, select the row, and then click Delete .
  3. On the confirmation dialog Delete Record, click Yes.
You see the Component framework management tab and your custom framework is not listed.
