Permanently delete components

After you send a component to the Deleted items folder, it remains there until you delete it permanently.

Use caution when permanently deleting a component as the action can't be undone.

You can also Restore a deleted component from the Deleted items folder.

To delete one component

  1. Click Components.
  2. In Deleted items folder, in the Folders pane, select the component you want to permanently delete.
  3. Right-click the component, select Actions, and then select Delete.
    Note: You can also access this option from the component's the Options menu.
  4. On the Permanently Delete Components confirmation dialog, click Yes.
    The component is no longer listed in the Deleted items folder or anywhere else in Inspire. It can no longer be restored.

To delete multiple components at once

  1. Click Components.
  2. In the Folders pane, select the Deleted items folder.
  3. In the Deleted items pane, do any of the following:
    • Select the individual checkboxes for all components you want to permanently delete.
    • To select all components you can see on the current page, go to the checkbox column header, click the down arrow , and choose Select all items from this page.
    • To select all components on all pages, go to the checkbox column header, click the down arrow , and choose Select all (total number of) items.

      The Select all items option displays the number of all items in the folder unless the folder contains more than 1000 components. If it contains more, then it displays 1000 and you can use Select all items to select 1000 components in a folder.

  4. On the Selected Components pane, in the toolbar, click Delete All Delete All .
  5. On the Permanently Delete Components confirmation dialog, click Yes.
    The component is no longer listed in the Deleted items folder or anywhere else in Inspire. It can no longer be restored.
