Add a new reviewer to a review workflow

If a sequential review workflow is already in progress, you can add another reviewer as long as there is at least one reviewer who has not completed their review yet.

Required permissions

To create, view, update, and delete workflows you must either be an Administrator, the project Owner, or have the following permissions:

  • Create, read, update, and delete permissions to the Projects module.
  • Listed as a Participant in the project.
  • For the Projects module, your user account must be listed under the following Property: can_initiate_assignment.

To work with Review workflows, you also need:

  • Create, read, update, and delete permissions to the Reviews module.

Before you begin
  • You must select a current reviewer who has not completed their review yet and has a Reviewer State of Reviewing.

  • The new reviewer is added and has a Reviewer State of Reviewing.

  • This option is not available if the current reviewer you selected has a Reviewer State of Pending.

To add a reviewer to a review workflow:

  1. Open the project that contains a review workflow that you want to update.

    If you don't already have a project open:

    1. Click Projects.
    2. On the Project Management tab, find the project you want to update.
    3. Right-click the project row and select Open.
  2. In the Workflow pane, select the workflow you want to update, select the Options menu, and then select Update.

    Result: You see the Update Review screen.

  3. On the Update Review screen, find a reviewer who has a Reviewer State of Reviewing.
  4. Right-click a reviewer's row (or use the Options menu) and select Add reviewer to workflow task.

    Results:

    The new reviewer is added and has a Reviewer State of Reviewing.

  5. To set editing permissions for the new reviewer, select or clear the Track Changes checkbox.
  6. To set notification preferences for the new reviewer, select or clear the Notifications checkbox
  7. After you finish your updates, click Update.
